Julie Newman, PTA is a graduate of Washburn University and has been providing physical therapy services to the Tonganoxie area since 2001. In addition to providing patient care she also serves as the Therapy Operations Director. She taught at Washburn University in the Physical Therapist Assistant program for 9 years and also coordinated the program’s clinical internships. She is active in the Kansas Physical Therapy Association and currently serves as the chair of the professional competency committee. Julie is involved with the American Physical Therapy Association as well. She travels to Washington, D.C., to serve as a legislative key contact and travels across the country as an accreditation reviewer for Physical Therapist Assistant programs. She was awarded the 2014 Kathy Johnson Excellence in Clinical Teaching Award. She has three grown children and enjoys boating at Lake Perry. Julie and her husband reside in rural Oskaloosa.
